We are excited to offer a specialized certification option to those professionals completing our acclaimed course, Complex PTSD – Creating a Mosaic: Understanding & Treatment for C-PTSD and who meet the Eligibility requirements listed below.
This certification is tailored for trauma professionals (CTP or equivalent ) who are dedicated to advancing their expertise in PTSD understanding and treatment.
Earning certification as a Complex PTSD specialist signifies a higher level of professional competence and dedication to trauma-informed care. It validates your skills, enhances your credibility, and demonstrates your commitment to delivering evidence-based treatment to clients experiencing complex trauma.
Upon successful completion of the program requirements, participants will receive recognition as a Certified Complex PTSD Treatment Provider (CCPTSD). Certification provides a powerful credential that sets you apart in treating complex trauma. It signals to clients, colleagues, and employers that you have specialized knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of C-PTSD.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the requirements in each category – Education, Training and Clinical Experience.
Education Pre-Requisites
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree.
In addition to a bachelor degree , applicants must either
(a) Hold a valid License
Or
(b) Be currently enrolled in a graduate degree in an accredited institution in one of the following disciplines:
Counseling
Psychology
Social Work
Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Community Counseling
Marriage and Family Therapy
Addictions Counseling
Psychiatric Nursing
Public Health (with Concentration in Mental Health)
Pastoral Counseling (Chaplains)
Psychoanalysts

Training Requirements
Applicants must complete BOTH of the training requirements listed and must submit their certificate of completion or transcript to meet course requirements.
1. Clinical Trauma Professional (CTP)
2. Creating a Mosaic: Understanding & Treatment for Complex PTSD (C-PTSD)

Clinical Experience Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate competency working with clients in the area of traumatic stress by evidencing a minimum of 300 direct client contact hours of supervised therapy/counseling experience through at least one of the following options:
A. Completed at least 300 supervised hours through graduate level Internship, fieldwork, practicum, appropriate employment
B. Completed at least 300 supervised hours through post-masters licensure hours

Application Terms and Conditions
The application for Certification is subject to the following terms and conditions:
Candidate must attest they have attained the requirements for certification and provide documentary evidence for each requirement.
Candidate must provide a complete and up to date CV/Resume and details of Professional bodies to which he/she belongs.
Candidate must be in good standing with the State Board that licenses him/her, or the professional organization under which he/she practices.
Candidate must not be on professional probationary status for any reason.
Candidate must not have been ethically or professionally denied application to or renewal of his/her professional membership in local, state or national associations to which he/she is qualified within the past 5 years.
Candidate must not have had his/her professional privileges restricted, revoked, or revised in any formal institutional setting based upon professional malpractice within the last 5 years.
Candidate must have current professional malpractice insurance (individual policy or covered under an employer or agency policy).
Candidate must consent to the verification of the information submitted and accept that any false statements, misrepresentations, or omissions may result in the disqualification of the application, revocation of certification, or other legal consequences.
Candidate must agree to these terms and conditions and certify that all information provided in their application is true, complete, and accurate to the best of their knowledge.
Applicants are required to attest to meeting these requirements and must provide two references.
Applicants are also required to submit their personal details including educational attainments, membership of professional organizations, and a copy of their resumé.
Certification renewal is required every two years to ensure continued competence and adherence to evolving standards of practice.
