Module 1: The Intricacies of C-PTSD and the Differentiation from PTSD

- Symptoms of Trauma & Comorbidities.
- The intricacies of C-PTSD and the differentiation from PTSD.
- Understanding Complex Trauma from a relational lens.
- The nervous system’s role in a regulatory revolution.
- Neurological factors pertinent for re-establishing development.
- Discussion of the role of attachment, attachment disruptions, and socially constructed oppressive systems.
Module 2: Assessment Tools
- Choosing a Culturally Appropriate Assessment
- Assessments to determine Dissociation & PTSD

- Ethical assessment practices with clients who have experienced psychological trauma.
Module 3: The Internal Experience
- Identify key differences of emoting, the adaptive art of articulating emotion, experiencing emotions and their roles in therapy as a client with C-PTSD.

- Discuss how to cultivate true internal/external safety and trust.
- Recognize and assist with body entrapment.
- Understand and identify methods of experiential somatization release.
Module 4: Essential Roles of the Therapeutic Relationship

Module 6: Evidence-Based Treatment Interventions/Theories

- Cultural and environmental considerations of theoretical choice.
- The costs and benefits of reprocessing memories and meanings related to traumatic memories.
- How to determine integration of treatment modalities and if the approaches work well together.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed CBT, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Yoga and Stretching, Meditation, Body Scanning, Somatic Therapies, Stand Alone Theoretical Approaches, EMDR.
