COURSE INSTRUCTIONS:

This course will require 2.5-3 hours per module. You can log on at any time, for as much time as you want.
The course is built around 7 modules. Each module is presented as a narrated PowerPoint along with additional articles.
At the end of each module, there is an assessment quiz which must be completed successfully before proceeding to the next module.
Participants must complete the modules in the order they are presented. A completion documentation will be provided after successful completion of the course.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Explore the complexity of Pornography and its negative impact on compulsive users, victims who were forced into being subjects of Porn pictures and videos, and children who initially accidentally are exposed to Porn through their explorations on social media. Learn about therapeutic interventions with adults, married couples and children.

Become committed advocates to address the scourge of porn and become better informed to provide counseling and psychotherapeutic aid to those whose lives have been negatively impacted by their immersion into porn. Learn about the evolution of Pornography with the growth of computer technology and the extensive availability of porn inexpensively online.

Become committed to become advocates to train your clients be they adults, married couples, families, children or trafficked sex victims. This course just touches the surface of the impact of pornography on people’s lives. Hopefully it will encourage you to become an active advocate to lessen the negative impact of pornography in our society today.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this training program participants will be:

1. More knowledgeable about the scourge of pornography on the members of our society due to the free access to these materials by online networks

2. Appreciative of the need to help families secure their internet accessibility to prevent unwanted pornography materials entering their social media channels

3. Able to identify free and accessible reading materials which will help their clients to stop their compulsive use of pornography or prevent the entering of pornography materials from entering their families and personal private spaces

4. More compassionate toward the potential of violence against women which is promoted through the free pornography materials available to their clients and patients online

5. Able to recognize that even though Compulsive Pornography use is “addictive in nature” it is unfortunately not a diagnosable DSM-5TR Addiction or Mental Health Disorder in the United States

6. Able to verbalize and implement therapeutic strategies for Adults and Children who are compulsive users of pornography

7. Prepared to help couples to heal the wounds that compulsive pornography use has impacted on these couples married and close interpersonal relationships
